Studio Etiquette
At The Loft, we’re here to move, breathe and grow, together. To keep the space calm, focused and fair for everyone, please take a moment to read these simple but important guidelines.
01. Arrive early & settle in
Give yourself time to transition into practice. Rushing in last-minute isn’t great for you or the class energy. Aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before class to settle in and be present.
02. If you’re late, pause & be patient.
If you arrive late, ring the buzzer and wait for your teacher to let you in. No need to rush, take a deep breath and enter with ease.
03. Shoeless studio, clear space.
Leave the outside world at the door—literally. Remove your shoes at reception and step into a space designed for focus and movement. Keep the studio clear, calm and clutter-free—this is a shared sanctuary.
04. Move safely & intelligently.
Your body is built to move, but awareness comes before progress. If you’re recovering from an injury, pregnant, or have had recent surgery, let your teacher know before class so we can offer the right adjustments. Your practice should support you, not strain you.
05. Light stomach, light movement.
Your body moves best when it’s ready, not digesting. Try to keep meals light before class, your post-practice meal will taste even better!
06. Stillness is part of the practice.
Savasana and closing stretches aren’t just add-ons; they’re an essential part of practice. Stay for the full class, growth happens not just in movement, but in the stillness too.
07. Respect the Space
Wipe down mats & equipment after use. Keep the studio calm & clutter-free. Be kind, we’re all here for different reasons, but we’re in it together.
08. Let it Flow
Before class begins, let’s honour a moment of quiet presence. Conversations can wait, this is a space to reset, refocus and breathe. Silence isn’t empty; it’s where clarity begins.
09. Reformer: No last-minute changes.
If you can’t make your Reformer class, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations will be charged in full, this keeps things fair and gives others a chance to book in.
